Students in my class walk in to a clean room that is well taken care of. Every student has a classroom job and all students are responsible for maintaining a friendly, safe, and clean environment.
My extensive classroom library is very organized and grouped by category. All of my books are digitally documented and can be checked out using a barcode scanner.
I often created my own posters, reference materials, desk nameplates, etc.
I have my other state testing scores and observation reports with my stored classroom items, but do not have them digitally. They are available upon request.
I created many math process charts and reference posters to help my 5th grade students in my first year teaching.
Sadly, I do not have a picture of the completed wall.
I created my own phonics posters for a sound wall when nothing on the market matched what I was looking for. I also created my own phonics curriculum books.
I also created many reading/language arts process charts and reference posters. After my first year of teaching, I learned less is more and began making more concise posters such as the "Main Idea" poster.
Here is an example of the reference materials I created for students to include in their Reading/Language Arts notebooks. While standard materials were provided to teachers, I customized my resources to better meet the specific needs of my students, ensuring a more tailored and effective learning experience.
During my time as an online teacher, I adapted traditional classroom methods for effective virtual use, including reading fluency activities. While traditional students tracked their progress manually, I enhanced the process by creating customized reading passages, developing original comprehension questions, and designing visually appealing charts and graphs to monitor progress. These improvements provided students with a more engaging and streamlined way to track their reading fluency and growth.
